T.I.Y.C.T.I.

For those of you who have clicked on this button inadvertently this is the name of the youth club set up in the early 60’s and is short for This Is Your Club This Is, derived from a television programme at that time called That Was the Week That Was.

40+ years on  quite a few members still meet, having the odd pub lunch followed by a walk.  The walk is not obligatory but all are welcome.  The object of this page is to advise of the itinerary as and when people come up with suggestions!  Any activities you wish to advertise please contact Ray using either the Contact Us button or phone him on 01202 622146.

CHRISTMAS MEAL 2010

BLUE BOAR, POOLE

On the 18th December 2009  TIYCTI enjoyed a very nice Christmas dinner.  Apparently it was so good we - Jean that is - will be booking again for 17 December  2010!   No excuses for double booking as you have been warned well in advance!

TURKEY & TINSEL WEEKEND IN THE ISLE OF WIGHT

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND.  Thank you to Howard who organized everything.  The Hotel, the food, the company lived up to all expectations and more.  Weather perhaps a bit damp but even that had its upside with the fantastic waves crashing over the sea wall at Freshwater - a truly amazing sight.

Arthur has looked into possibilities for next year in Spain.  We are looking at maybe Guernsey or Jersey.  Anyone with any suggestions feel free to suggest it at one of our monthly walks.

See you all there at 12 noon.

March 7th a handful turned up at The Willett Arms.  The walkers walked back to Pat and Ian’s for tea and biscuits.

APRIL 10th its off to The Sandford at 12 noon as usual.  The walk will of course depend upon the weather, but if all else fails a cuppa and perhaps a trivia game will be on the menu instead.  Look forward to seeing everyone there.

Heather has now joined the ranks of the unemployed and has official “retired”.

Hopefully she and im indoors will enjoy many happy days in the motorhome, but hopefully will be around often enough to enjoy the monthly walks.

Ray has also now “retired” because he reached the grand old age of 65 on 15th March.

Perhaps we should all be considering joining the Darby & Joan Club soon! (Freda of course being the exception).
