For those of you who have clicked on this button inadvertently this is the name of the youth club set up in the early 60’s and is short for This Is Your Club This Is, derived from a television programme at that time called That Was the Week That Was.

40+ years on quite a few members still meet, having the odd pub lunch followed by a walk.  The walk is not obligatory but all are welcome.  The object of this page is to advise of the itinerary as and when people come up with suggestions!  Any activities you wish to advertise please contact Ray using either the Contact Us button or phone him on 01202 622146.

CHRISTMAS MEAL  FRIDAY 16 DECEMBER 2011

Thank you as always to Jean for our excellent meal at the Bear Cross. We did miss Wendy and Chris and trust Wendy is now feeling a lot better.  I think the general consensus of opinion is that we return next year.

HOWARD AND YVONNE

Now safely ensconced in Australia.  For anyone who did not manage to see the photographs on their leaving do please see the next page.

14 of us stayed at The Bay Prince of Wales Hotel at Berkeley and had a pretty good weekend.  We were well looked after and although perhaps the food wasn’t quite top cuisine it was quite acceptable.  Greeted with a free glass of mulled wine prior to our first evening meal and a free glass of wine with our Christmas dinner went down well.  We found plenty to do.  We basically chilled out Friday and enjoyed the in house entertainment.  Saturday we spent a few hours round Westonbirt Arboretum followed by a trip to Gloucester Docks.  That evening we spent playing Mexican train.  Sunday we had a few hours around Slimbridge and after a pub lunch did our own things.  Monday came all too quickly but we made the most of a stop off at Lacock before returning home.  Thanks to all who made the weekend a bit of fun and a good deal of laughter, without which life would be pretty dull.

Jean and Brian were sadly missed and we wish Jean a speedy recovery from her foot operation.

TIYCTI STROLLERS

Ten of us dined at our usual restaurant New Year’s Day.  Due to adverse weather we went back to Jean and Brian’s and enjoyed an afternoon of trivial pursuit.  February 5th  we intend to go to the Harvester at Boscombe Pier but please note the time will be 12.30pm to enable Jean and Pat to have time to attend Church.  Jaz and John have kindly invited us back to theirs for tea and biscuits along with a game.
