CHAIR

It is with regret that Colin Thompson has had to resign from the position of Chair.  We do thank him for all his work to date and look forward to seeing him back as and when he feels able.  Obviously anyone interested in filling this post should contact Gail our Secretary or any other member of the committee

We would like to thank both Rachael (and Rachael’s mum for making the sponsorship up to £500) and also the Royal Bank of Scotland for generously offering to match the amount pound for pound.  It was a long 10 miles and Rachael did it in 1 hr. 42 minutes.  Apparently Paula Radcliffe did it in half that time - but hey she is a pro.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your much appreciated support.

WATCH THIS SPACE - Rumour has it Rachael is going to tackle the London Marathon!

Our grateful thanks to our Treasurer’s son Steven Vye for entering the London Triathlon.  Starting and finishing at Ex Cel Docklands.  He did a 1500 metre swim round the Royal Victoria Docks followed by a 40km bike ride round Westminster Bridge finishing off with a 10k circuit of the Docklands.  His time was 2 hrs 30 mins 15 seconds!

For anyone who is interested in partaking in this event it seems the swim in the Thames is not the choicest of places to take a dip!

Above  are some pictures of Steven before he sets off and during the race.
